Upgrade Your Health: With Kitchen Basics

Updated: Sep 18, 2018

When I started to overhaul my health, it was rather confusing and I didn't really know where to start. I did a bit of everything; exercised, no fried foods, ate at home more, made some kitchen swaps, etc but I wasn't exactly sure if I was going in the right direction?? I needed to see/feel the results - having great skin, feeling energetic, to feel amazing, etc .... as many health experts claim once you are on this journey.

Having experienced all the trial & errors, studied so much about nutrition & wellness, in addition to having helped so many beautiful people along the way to improve their health, the easiest way to stay healthy is to upgrade your kitchen staples. These are ingredients you are using all the time. They have the most impact on every meal you eat. So what am I talking about here?? Namely "Salt, Sugar & Oil"- which are the basics in our pantry. All recipes require these basics so why not choose the ones that give us the most benefit ?

To dive into it fully, I will be breaking it up into a 3-part series focusing on each one- Salt, Oil, Sugar- separately.

To begin, how much salt, oil & sugar are you supposed to be consuming? And what is the correct amount to have in order to avoid heart disease, fatty liver, water retention, cholesterol, high blood pressure and most importantly, a healthy weight range that leaves us feeling awesome in our bodies.

I will be sharing the series as below and hyperlinking as & when they become available.

-Which salt to use for everyday cooking?

-What is the best oil to use for cooking?

-Sugar and its varieties. Which ones to use or should we cut out sugar altogether?

Love,

Shaira
